I have a lot of clients who want to lose weight and struggle to make intelligent decision while eating out
Or...
just cannot gain weight because they simply do not have an appetite... If you fall into either of these categories and love chipotle, then I have a solution for you.
EATING YOUR WAY TO FITNESS RESULTS WITH CHIPOTLE... 🙏
Yup, i said it. Chipotle's versatility as a quick and accessible “build your own” entree fast-a-raunt has made it easier than ever to eat out and still accomplish your fitness-related goals. Whether you’re craving washboard abs for the summer season, or rocky mountain bicep peaks for the coming bulking season, Chipotle has something for everyone. Here are some general guidelines...
FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING TO SHRED FAT AND LOOK SEXY:
Get a burrito bowl, Chiptole’s massive tortilla has a boatload of ab-ravaging carbs. Order a half serving of rice and a half serving of beans (unless you prefer one over the other and just get one. This tip will save you 40 carbs...and who knows, maybe your abs will still be visible after your delicious low calorie helping of Mexican style deliciousness). Add fajitas, salsa (I recommend both mild and either medium or hot to add complexity to your bowl), and corn. Chipotle's corn is flavorful and has very few calories. Choose your favorite meat (or meatless) protein option so that you do not eat away at your poor and defenseless muscle tissue while you cut weight. If you like to eat a lot of food, then add lettuce. This will add volume to your bowl and create an illusion that you are eating more food (and thus calories) than you actually are. AND BOOM! There you have it. This option is both low calorie and delicious. In fact, I ate this exact Chiptole bowl 2-3 days a week towards the end of my last physique show prep, and still stepped on stage with the physique I wanted.
FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING TO GAIN WEIGHT/MUSCLE AND/OR DO NOT HAVE AN APPETITE:
Get what you like, you can pack on the calories to both a burrito and a burrito bowl. Get both rice and beans. If you want a little extra of one or the other, ask for a little bit more after the fact. They will add almost an entire extra scoop free of charge. Order your bowl with cheese, sour cream, and guacamole (if you’re rolling in cash and that extra bit of guac won’t break the bank). Finally, add whatever salsa's you want to flavor your food. Salsa is fairly low in calories and won't impact your gains in either direction anyway. If you chose to order a burrito, then consider a queso-rita (spelling?). If you have not had one, then take my word for it. They are delicious and will add several hundred calories to your burrito without adding a lot of extra volume.
WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING PRETTY COOL?
Chipotle's app is one of a kind in that it allows you to build your own menu option and view its nutritional information based on the specific ingredients that you added to your entree. This makes customizing your food and inputting its nutritional information into a calorie/ macro tracking app very easy. On myfitnesspal, you can simply create an item with the calories, macros, and micros that Chipotle provides through its app. Myfitnesspal will store this item in a database that you can easily access the next time you order.
